HARTING appoints Anglia to UK electronics distributor network.
HARTING, Europe's leading connector manufacturer, has appointed Anglia as a franchised UK distributor of its electronic connectors. Products covered by the agreement include DIN41612 signal and power connectors, D-sub versions, and an extensive range of devices (including hard metric types) for the VME and CompactPCI® buses.
Anglia, based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, is a leading independent UK distributor of passive, electromechanical and semiconductor products, but the HARTING agreement gives its product portfolio a new dimension by adding a major international manufacturer of high-quality interconnection products.
Commenting on the Anglia agreement, Pete Johnson, Electronic Distribution Manager of HARTING, said: 'We see the appointment of Anglia as an ideal fit within our network. Harting, founded in 1945, is a 100% family owned company. With headquarters in Espelkamp, Germany, the company has seven highly automated manufacturing plants in Europe, Asia and the USA, and employs 2100 staff world-wide. In the UK, Harting Ltd., based in Northampton, handle sales, marketing and technical support for the HARTING product range, as well as operating a number of value-added customer services including cable assembly and press-in manufacturing facilities.
