Taicom widens its D Sub connector range

Taicom’s expanded range of D sub-miniature connectors now include extra options of threaded inserts and boardlocks on the PCB mounting plugs and sockets. |
The extensive range caters for customers requiring a cost effective solution to data connection with the stamped and formed products and customers who require higher reliability with the machined pin versions.
Mounting styles include Solder Bucket types for panel or cable mounting, PCB mounting types in either straight or right angle and a panel mounting IDC version for use with ribbon cable enabling quick and easy connection. Furthermore, in addition to the standard models in 9 to 50 ways a high density range is also available in 15, 26 and 44 ways.
The right angle PCB mounting types now come with an option of industry standard 4-40 UNC female screwlocks or threaded inserts in both the standard and high density stamped connector series. The standard straight PCB mount connectors are available with or without 4-40 UNC threaded boardlocks. The machined (turned) pin connectors are all of an open frame construction with the option of boardlocks, screwlocks and threaded inserts available to special order.
All of the connectors are constructed using high quality materials with every contact having gold over nickel plating for excellent reliability and low contact resistance (30m Ohm maximum), whilst the insulators are moulded from glass filled PBT and are flame retardant to UL94V-0, the best specification available. Shells are constructed from tin plated steel and are dimpled to give reliable mating as well as to ensure excellent EMI/RFI shielding.
The connectors are rated up to 5A depending on version, and are rated 250Vac/dc with an insulation resistance of 1000M Ohm at 500Vdc and an operating temperature range of -55°C to +105°C.
Add to all of this a range of Grey or Metallised Plastic hoods and Taicom have one of the most extensive ranges of D Subs in the industry to suit every requirement and, due to their competitive pricing, cost consideration.
