Taicom adds battery holders to its wide portfolio
|

Anglia has added the Taicom range of battery holders to its profile to support the wide range of batteries from GP and Renata. Well known for its extensive range of connector products, Taicom has now developed a range of battery holders to support the continuing trend towards portability. |
The Taicom range of battery connectors covers the standard cells, N through to D size, as well as Coin cell holders and PP3 press studs.
All standard cell sizes are covered by the Taicom series with a multitude of options including wire lead, PCB pin, solder tag or press stud termination. The range also offers a broad range of cell configurations, polarity and orientations. The standard cell holders all feature moulded plastic bodies with an option of high grade material on selected types.
Coin cells in sizes CR2025 & CR3032 are accommodated by two through hole mounting parts in either standard or compact size with the latter part allowing designers more flexibility due to smaller PCB space requirement.
Both parts feature black PBT insulators, flame retardant to UL94V-0 and have a current rating of 3A with proof voltage up to 1000Vac.
These holders are designed to accommodate a single cell and offer a choice of battery retention methods, top spring or snap-fit, with the snap fit option particularly suitable for mass production techniques as it allows rapid battery fitment.
In addition Taicom also have a range of PP3 press studs in wire lead or PCB mounting options. The PP3 range has the superior 6 claw contact design throughout ensuring an excellent fit on a wide range of battery types and makes.
The wire lead version features an option of cover construction, PVC or Moulded, the PVC being most popular due to its cost effectiveness. The moulded cover offers improved lead retention over the PVC cover. Both types are supplied with 150mm (6 inch) wires coloured black and red for easy polarity identification.
The PCB mount version consists of two metal snaps which are mounted directly to the PCB with an industry recognised footprint. The PCB press-studs are supplied in pairs and are particularly suited to applications where space is at a premium.
