Rohm strengthens UK distribution network with appointment of Anglia Left to right - Bryan Cullis (Rohm), Steve Rawlins and Caroline Abbs (Anglia), Graham Bridger (Rohm) Anglia, the Wisbech-based broadline distributor of electronic components, has entered into a franchised distribution agreement with Rohm Electronics, the manufacturer of semiconductor, optoelectronic and passive components. Under the terms of the agreement, which covers the UK and Ireland, Anglia is now stocking Rohm's entire portfolio of products, including integrated circuits, discrete semiconductor devices, capacitors, resistors and displays. Anglia's managing director Steve Rawlins commented: "Rohm is one of the world's leading manufacturers of active and passive components, and we are delighted to have signed this agreement. With Rohm's continued emphasis on miniaturisation of its products, our eight-strong team of field applications engineers, together with our account managers, will play a key role in helping customers to design-in this high-quality range of components." Anglia expects to see particularly strong interest in Rohm's LSI devices, resistors, transistors and diodes, as well as its comprehensive range of leaded and surface-mount LED lamps. For Rohm Electronics, managing director Bryan Cullis said: "Demand for our products via the distribution supply channel has continued to increase in the UK. Anglia's approach to market and the focus they will offer our product range will complement the activities of our network, and we are confident that this new partnership will give both existing and potential customers greater access to Rohm's product technology." |
