Taicom expands their Modular connector range to include 5.08mm pitch

Taicom has added 5.08mm pitch to its existing crimp terminal based TKB and TKC series of modular connectors. |
Designated the TKD, these new 5.08mm pitch connectors complement the current TKB and TKC series to create an extensive range of PCB interconnect product lines based upon a modular construction.
The same options are available in the new pitch as on the existing types i.e. crimp housings, straight and R/A pin headers, with and without locking ramp, and PCB socket options that allow 3 methods of board to board connection - parallel, top and bottom and perpendicular connection.
The connectors
have a maximum current rating of 7A, are rated at 250Vac/dc and feature
flame retardant housings to UL94V-2.
The 5.08mm connectors use crimps that will accept a wire size of 18 to
22AWG and are available in 2 to 20 ways. Polarising keys are also available
allowing the designer to build a system utilising more than one connector
per board without the risk of inserting the connectors in the wrong place.
With their wider pitch the TKD series will be ideally suited to equipment where a greater safety margin is required, particularly with regard to increases in creepage and clearance distances. Their convenient design and connectivity will also allow easy maintenance. As a result these connectors will find numerous uses in many industrial applications such as power and motor control systems.
