Taicom introduces a value added, cable assembly service

The increasing demand for Taicom connectors and the need for value added support has led to the introduction of custom cable assembly. This service has been aimed particularly at customers looking for a reliable and convenient source of bespoke leads. |
Available on a wide variety of cable/wire mounting connectors within ranges such as D Sub-min (formed, turned pin and high density), IDC, IEEE-488, RJ, USB, Wire to Board and Modular (2.54mm, 3.96mm & 5.08mm pitch and modular power), the service also extends to other connectors which can be specified to customer's individual requirement. Connectors can also be mixed on the same cable e.g. D Sub-min and IDC.
To ensure consistent quality and reliability considerable care and attention has been paid to the manufacturing methods and procedures. All assemblies are rigorously tested throughout every stage of manufacture and subject to a final 100% test before despatch.
This service adds value to the supply chain by giving the customer easier logistics as only one part needs to be ordered and stored - the completed cable assembly. Reducing production time and the need for expensive tooling and machines it will in turn reduce the floor space required at the manufacturing site. Whilst offering the customers all these benefits the cable assemblies are very competitively priced, especially when compared with making assemblies in-house or using a local cable assembly house.
Drawings and samples can typically be sent for approval within 2 weeks of the initial enquiry. All that is required to begin with is a drawing showing your requirement, specifying the connectors & cable, lead length & tolerance together with quantity & delivery timescales. After receipt, an engineering drawing will then be generated for your approval and samples will follow once drawings have been approved.
