Nover's SMD Electrolytic range expanded to reflect the latest demands for higher performance products

 

Considerable expansion of Nover's capacitor portfolio has taken place to meet the increase in demand for a greater variety of surface mount electrolytics, particularly those offering a superior specification for use in arduous or high reliability applications.

The SMD range now encompasses very high temperature (125°C) and very low ESR versions together with a series of long life electrolytics providing a 5000 hour endurance at 105°C. Furthermore, many extra values and voltages have been added to the existing product lines.

SMD Range Overview

VA series (new): A series designed for use in harsh environments with an endurance test of 1000 hours at 125°C. Offers values from 10µF to 330µF and voltages from 10V to 50V.

VX series (new): A very low ESR series suitable for use in portable equipment and instrumentation. Endurance test 2000 hours at 105°C. Offers values from 1.0µF to 1500µF and voltages from 6.3V to 50V.

VL series (new): A long life series with an extended upper temperature limit for sustained operation in higher ambients. Endurance test 5000 hours at 105°C. Offers values from 0.1µF to 1000µF and voltages from 4V to 50V.

VE series: A popular series designed for general purpose use with an endurance test of 2000 hours at 85°C. Offers values from 0.1µF to 1000µF and voltages from 4V to 100V. An extra 22 parts have been added plus 2 new voltage ratings.

VH series: Complementing the VE series but having an extended upper temperature limit for use in higher ambient conditions. Endurance test 2000 hours at 105°C. Offers values from 0.1µF to 1000µF and voltages from 4V to 100V. An extra 29 parts have been added plus 2 new voltage ratings.

VZ series: Combines low impedance and ESR characteristics with an endurance test of 2000 hours at 105°C. Ideal for switch mode power supplies and industrial electronics. Offers values from 1.0µF to 1500µF and voltages from 6.3V to 50V. An extra 28 parts have been added plus a new voltage rating.

VP series: A bi-polar (non-polarised) series designed for applications where reverse voltage may be applied. Endurance test 2000 hours at 85°C. Offers values from 0.1µF to 47µF and voltages from 6.3V to 50V.

The various series of surface mount products detailed above form a strategic part of Nover's range of high quality capacitors which caters for the constantly changing needs of the electronics industry. Already covering radial, axial, snap-in, lug and screw type electrolytics together with a series of chip and dipped tantalum, they combine excellent performance levels with very competitive pricing structures, achieved through attention to detail in every stage of manufacture.
