Murata introduces the world's smallest switch connector; 2.5mm square

It's not just mobile phones that constrain designers on space. Wireless connectivity is providing a huge opportunity for new applications, not only in the 'converged' communications and consumer marketplace, but also in industrial, medical and environmental monitoring applications.

If you need the smallest RF switch connector in your next project, take a tip from mobile phone designers and specify the SWF from Murata.

Measuring just 2.5 x 2.5mm square with a profile of 1.4mm, it suits the requirements of even the smallest and thinnest handsets today. Extremely cost-competitive, and supplied by a world-class manufacturer, Murata's SWF connectors make no compromise on performance. High frequency versions are available to 6GHz, and all devices deliver excellent VSWR, with insertion loss at 0.1dB at 3GHz and 0.2dB at 6GHz. Plus, these switch connectors deliver durability of more than 100cycles, a withstanding voltage of 300V and a voltage rating of 250Vrms.
