Hirose introduces MS-156HF coax test connector series - DC - 6GHz

Hirose's MS-156HF connector has been developed for inspection of high frequency circuits used in portable terminals. Verification of the circuit performance is accomplished by simply inserting the external plug in the board mounted receptacle. This action re-directs the circuit from normal condition to the plug side.

To meet with the demand for miniaturization this connector has a ultra low height profile of only 1.6mm. Optimum space saving is achieved by reducing the occupied mounting area by around 17% in comparison to other suppliers coaxial switches. Only 10.2mm sq is needed.

Other benefits include superior electrical performance and solder wicking prevention. This is achieved with nickel barrier areas that prevent the travel of solder into the contact area. Furthermore this connector is Rohs compliant and halogen free to meet with Hirose's environmental policy and commitment of being a responsible member to global society.
