Anglia celebrates a decade of family fun

Anglia was in celebration mood last weekend as the electronic component distributor hosted its 10th annual family fun day on Saturday 16th August. The yearly event brought together staff and families from across the country and recognised the hard work put in by the Anglia team throughout the past year.

Held at Anglia’s Wisbech headquarters site, daylong entertainment for the 300 members of staff and family featured a wide variety of activities that included a surf simulator, laser game and climbing wall. Numerous facilities were provided for the young ones such as bouncy castles, teacup ride and soft play area. There were organised office tours, a barbecue and a demonstration by the local fire brigade.

“The team has achieved great success in the past year, a result of shear determination and effort, and the family fun day is our small way of saying thank you,” said Bill Ingram, Anglia’s Founder and President.

He continued, “This type of event has a good influence on staff morale by providing an opportunity for our employees and their families to meet and mix in a relaxed and fun way and to see the working environment."

Established in 1972, Anglia is a leading distributor of electronic components. It stocks over 700 million components from 470,000 product lines in the UK. Components from every supplier are stocked in depth and breadth for same day dispatch.
