Phoenix Contact's space saving PCB connectors for the buildings industry

Part of the Combicon compact range, the PT 1.5 PCB terminal blocks with 3.5 mm pitch from Phoenix Contact now include four new products. The two PCB terminals and two plugs have a particularly high clamping capacity up to 1.5 mm² in a compact design, making them very practical to use with generous space for wiring. They are specially designed to meet the needs of semi-industrial applications, such as alarm devices or door intercoms. They satisfy the economic requirements of building services engineering. Additionally new regulations will strongly determine the use of flame resistant material following UL 94 VO and the RoHS/WEEE compliant products. The products are suitable for almost all types of applications in building automation and telecommunications.

A special feature is the PT 1.5-PVH-3.5 plug. It can be plugged onto male headers and is particularly flexible due to the integrated bi-directional plugging. It can also be coded without 'losing' any pins. The PT 1.5-PH.3.5 plug can be used when space is at a premium. It only offers one-directional plugging, but is 12 per cent shorter and so takes up less space on the board. The plugs belonging to the PT 1.5 series are complemented by the PST 1.0-3.5 male header, which is equipped for processing in the reflow soldering process. Automatic placing is made possible here by optional packaging in a bar magazine. The range is available with push-in-spring and screw connection systems to match various wiring and cabling types.
