Anglia joins the AS9120 elite

Wisbech, UK, 29 July 2009 – Anglia, the UK’s leading privately owned electronic component distributor, today announced that it has joined the elite few distributors to have gained the AS9120 certification, one of the world’s most demanding quality standards, accrediting the company to supply components for safety critical flight systems for the aerospace and defence industries. Anglia joined the SBAC SC21 programme in July 2009.
Anglia achieved accreditation from BSI to win the approval, which proves that its quality systems and lot traceability elements meet the exceptionally high standards required by this industry. The approval is required by many aerospace customers, and is increasingly sought by customers in the defence and other high reliability sectors.

Anglia is now working towards gaining formal recognition under the SC21 programme, and expects to achieve this within six to nine months. The distributor already offers a very high standard of service to military and aerospace customers, including full lot traceability.
