Taicom adds USB connectors to range

Taicom has added USB to its wide portfolio of connectors, which are all available from Anglia. USB is already playing a key role in digital imaging, PC, telephony, printing and multimedia games. |
The addition of the TSB series to the Taicom range allows USB functionality to be added to other more mainstream applications requiring a simple but fast method of transferring data at up to 12 Mbit/s whilst allowing connection of up to 126 USB peripherals.
The USB standard also supports Plug and Play technology as well as Hot Swap where the connector can be plugged in or removed without the need to reset the equipment.
The TSB is an industry standard USB connector series available in styles A and B with the option of both right angle and straight configurations. A two tier version of the style A connector is also available.
The series consists of 4 connections, 2 for data and 2 for power with a maximum current rating of 1A and a maximum voltage rating of 30Vac. This reduces the need for any extra power supplies for low power peripherals as the power can be supplied via the USB connector.
The connectors feature contact resistance <30mOhms, durability of 1500 mating cycles and are flame retardant to UL94V-0.
The TSB series are fully shielded as standard and support high-speed operation when using appropriate shielded cables.
