STMicroelectronics introduce 1.3A very low quiescent linear voltage regulator

The ST1L05 from ST can deliver an current output capability of 1.3A and with a fixed voltage output of 2.5V and 3.3V and an adjustable type offering 1.22V to Vin.

The device is available with output voltage sense or enable and power good functions.

Other key features include a typical drop out of 0.3V (at Io = 1.3A), very low quiescent current of 650uA over the temperature range and thermal shutdown and hysteresis and overcurrent protection.

The ST1L05 is ideally suited to applications where both optimum heat dissipation and small dimensions are key factors along with designs needing a continuous sensing and monitoring of output voltage.

The devices are supplied in the DFN6 (3mm x 3mm) package.
