Murata's new chip inductor series replaces wire-wound types, reducing size and cost of DC-DC power supplies
The LQH6PP_43 series can also help to reduce cost, since the chip inductors' simple structure means they can be manufactured more cost efficiently than traditional wire-wound power inductors, leading to reduced bill of materials cost for power supplies. Designed especially for the miniaturisation of DC-DC converters, the LQH6PP_43 series features compact low-profile 2424 size casing – measuring just 6.0 by 6.0 by 4.3mm. The parts are magnetically shielded by magnetic resin, minimising any possible magnetic interference. The LQH6PP_43 series' low DC resistance and high rated current contribute to the efficiency of the power supply circuit. The series ranges from a 1.0µH model with DC resistance of 0.009Ω, to a 100µH model with DC resistance of 0.436Ω. Allowable DC current, based on inductance change within 30% of nominal, is 7.50A (for 1.0µH part) to 0.92A (for 100µH part).
