Avalue announces Micro-ATX baseboard module equipped with embedded XTX

Avalue has announced a Micro-ATX industrial baseboard, the EEV-EX20, as well as compatible XTX-PNV and XTX-US15WP embedded modules. This combination satisfies demands for various specifications to suit applications such as automation and industrial control.

For complying with XTX form factor products, Avalue’s EEV-EX20 is made with a competitive form factor, Micro-ATX, to provide customers with more advanced capabilities. The EEV-EX20 comes with sufficient hardware support and expandability. It includes 4 SATA II, 2 EIDE, 1 RS-232, 1 RS-232/422/485, 1 Express Card/54, 1 PCIe x4, 1 PCIe x1, 2 PCI, 1 Mini-PCIe slot and LPC Bus interface and so on, to augment support of storage or extra devices.

Avalue’s XTX-PNV is based on 45nm process technology from Intel’s latest two-chip platform, which offers advanced power management functionalities and substantially reduced power consumption. At the same time it delivers ideal high-definition graphics processing capability, supporting VGA and 18-bit single-channel LVDS dual view displays. It has the expandability of 4 PCIex1, 4 PCI, 1 LPC Bus and I²C Bus to connect high driving DI/O for extra devices.

Avalue XTX-US15WP adopts Intel® Z510P/Z530P CPUs and SCH US15W chipset, featuring an economical product with extremely low profile and power consumption. The LCD interface includes 2-channel 18/24-bit LVDS and single-channel 18/24-bit LVDS output functionalities. The XTX-US15WP supports LVDS dual view configuration. As to expansion, it comes with 1 PCIe x1, 4 PCI, 1 LPC Bus and 1 Micro-SD. Furthermore, it tolerates a huge temperature difference of -40°C to +85°C.

The XTX product has advanced functions on x2 connector, such as PCIe, SATA, LPC Interface, digital audio and USB, making applications diverse and convenient. Avalue’s XTX SOM modules equipped with EEV-EX20 baseboard will offer the flexibility of board-level design and performance that customers may demand according to their application, specification requirements or cost considerations.
