STMicroelectronics is the first to host full 5-line ESD protection in a 1mm² package

The ESDA6V1-5T6 and ESDALC6V1-5T6 are monolithic arrays designed to protect up to 5 lines against ESD transients. These devices are ideal for applications where both reduced PCB space and high ESD protection are required.

While competing devices can propose 4 lines in 1 mm² at best, the ESDALC6V1-5T6 and ESDA6V1-5T6 provide the smallest 5-line ESD protection housed in a 1 mm x 1 mm micro-DFN package with a thickness of only 0.4 mm. They offer a real integrated solution to be compliant with IEC 61000-4-2 ESD for PCBs with stringent size constraints.

The ESDALC6V1-5T6 (line capacitance: 7 pF) and ESDA6V1-5T6 (line capacitance: 34 pF) - in addition to their size - offer excellent clamping performances below 50 V together with high ESD robustness up to 15 kV contact discharge. These innovative products have already been adopted by major smartphone manufacturers.
