Schaffner has now extended the upper range of its popular FN 3280 series filters to provide compatibility with higher powered installations. |
The FN 3280 filters are often employed when the interference levels on three phases and the neutral line need to be reduced to Class B limits. This is generally the case with machines, installations and cabinets that are intended for operation close to commercial and residential areas.
A new filter for high powered applications - up to a continuous operating current of 200A - is now available. Compact construction and a solid connection system with a generous contact cross section simplify the assembly and initiation. The exceptional attenuation characteristics are also available at full load, without restriction. Even multi-axial regenerative drive systems can be simply and reliably brought up to the required EMC level. Operating the filter directly at the mains input also improves the conducted immunity, significantly increasing the reliability of the installation as a result.
The FN 3280 four-wire filters from Schaffner for power networks up to 520VAC and for the complete current range from 8 to 200A are available now readily for delivery off the shelf. They comply with all the standard safety requirements and are UL, CSA and ENEC certified.
