Compact low-leakage filters with innovative plastic design

Innovative design approaches make
possible EMC filters in compact, light weight design with a lot of functionality and distinctive
safety elements.
The international leader in the field of electromagnetic
compatibility introduces low-leakage EMC filters in
modern plastic housings. The new design primarily
simplifies the handling for the user and helps to reduce
the installation time.
The use of plastic materials and the elimination of
potting compound allow a weight reduction of up to
50% in comparison to conventional EMC components. Nevertheless, a metal base plate ensures the
EMC-compliant high frequency contact to ground.
Integrated filter terminals for the electrical connection have been taken over from today’s motor drives
and further optimized with respect to user convenience. A patented spring mechanism automatically
raises the clamping fixture so that the connection wires can conveniently be attached. The contact is
made easily and quickly with the automatic torque wrench from above. Transparent safety covers, which
can be folded forwards and backwards using the captive swivel mechanism, are provided as standard for
protection against unintended contact with live conductors.
Two mounting options provide the necessary flexibility for application-compliant installation of the filter.
FN 3025 filters are suitable for traditional screw mounting while the FN 3026 are optimized for time-saving
mounting on TS 35 DIN-rails.
FN 3025/3026 filters are designed for rated currents from 20 to 50A (at 50°C) and for maximum continuous operating voltages of 3 x 520VAC. All versions are distinguished by minimal filter leakage current of 0.4 (L-types) or 2.5mA (P-types) at 480V/50Hz and are outstandingly suitable for use in conjunction with sensitive earth-leakage circuit breakers and strict requirements with regard to fire protection and protection of persons. The compact filters are UL, CSA and ENEC approved and comply with the requirements of the RoHS directive.
