STMicroelectronics new compact step-down converter family delivers up to 2A

 

STMicroelectronics have introduced the L598x family of 2A step down converters which offer high performance and high efficiency.

Key features include 2.9 to 18V input range, internal soft start, zero load current operation, over current and thermal protection. The L598x family is supplied with a range of output currents from 0.7A to 2A.

The L598x can be designed to be a very compact solution using a minimum external component count.

The devices are supplied in the ultra small DFN3x3 package.
