HV7355 eight channel medical diagnostic ultrasound pulser from Supertex delivers up to 150V output and 1.5A ultrasound pulses
Supertex has introduced the HV7355, an eight channel, unipolar, high speed ultrasound pulser IC designed for portable medical diagnostic ultrasound applications. The IC brings together controller logic interface circuitry, level translators, MOSFET gate drive buffers, and high voltage and high current P- and N-channel MOSFETs as the output stage for each channel.
HV7355 features matched delay times, up to 18 MHz operating frequency, and +/-1.5A source and sink currents with up to a 150V swing per channel when set to pulse, or +/-500mA currents when set to conserve power. The direct coupling topology of this IC not only eliminates one high voltage capacitor per channel, it also makes designing the circuit board easier.
“As medical diagnostic ultrasound systems increase in both portability and channel density, Supertex remains committed to leveraging its expertise in high voltage CMOS technology to provide ultrasound equipments manufacturers with the highest performing ICs on the market,” states Stephen Lin, Vice President of Marketing for Supertex. “This versatile, high voltage pulser IC excels not only in ultrasound applications, but also in any piezoelectric, capacitive or MEMS sensing applications.”
The HV7355 is available in a 56-lead QFN package (HV7355K6-G). The part is RoHS compliant.
