V-ZA series from Panasonic combines the advantages of both electrolytic and polymer capacitors
State of the art devices require a compact design and high performance characteristics. While electrolytic capacitors have been continuously improved to achieve low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) values as well as low leakage current properties, this technology is limited to its ESR values. A combination of electrolytic and polymer unifies the advantages of both.
Features for your application:
Downsizing and weight reduction
- ESR values equivalent to specialty polymer capacitors
- ESR reduction up to 90 % compared to aluminum electrolytic capacitors
- Reduction of mounting space area up to 60 % compared to aluminium electrolytic capacitors
Power saving and stabilisation of operation
- Leakage current values are equivalent to aluminium electrolytic capacitors. This level is a reduction of up to 75% compared to specialty polymer capacitors.
Reliability and safety improvement
- Lifetime is 5000h at 105°C. This is an upgrade of 2.5 times compared to current models.
- Failure mode at end of lifetime is open mode (dry up)
