ST's on-line tool simplifies AC/DC and DC/DC power supply design

STMicroelectronics has developed the 'eDesignStudio' on-line tool, which simplifies AC/DC and DC/DC power supply design and offers designers the flexibility to choose the right products and topologies.

Based on the Input and Output criteria of the design, eDesignStudio will produce a full design generated from the high-level requirements specified by the user, and provide:

all relevant parameters and results
full and interactive schematics
a full and interactive bill of materials (BOM)
a full set of analysis diagrams

The user can fine tune the proposed design by adding more advanced constrains for stability performance and component selection.

edesignStudio can be used for power supply, battery charging, photovoltaic and LED driving designs. For the LED driver designs, the on-line tool includes a selection guide of popular LED’s, including Cree and Avago.
