knitter-switch announces vandal and weather resistant metal keyboards
knitter-switch has announced the YFT ME Series of vandal resistant metal keyboards designed for use outdoors as well as in a wide variety of indoor applications where the environment can be “challenging”, such as industrial automation equipment and automotive diagnostic systems.
Made from stainless steel, YFT ME Series keyboards are rated to IP65 as standard but can be sealed to IP69K as an option. knitter-switch offers a full custom design service for these metal keyboards with surprisingly small minimum order quantities.
The keyboards incorporate circular keys from 11 to 17mm diameter with the option of backlighting. According to knitter-switch, the keys have a lifetime up to 3 million cycles.
