Wide range of cost effective Transistor output Photocouplers from Toshiba

Toshiba offer a wide variety of Transistor output Photocouplers that help reduce product size and power consumption such as Photocouplers in ultra-small, thin packages and those that can be driven with low input currents as well as operating temperature range of up to 125°C.

Toshiba has decades of experience in the development and manufacturing of Photocouplers making them one of the global leaders.

Toshiba’s Transistor output Photocouplers can be used in a wide range of applications including Factory automation, Consumer equipment, PLC, Renewable energy, Power supplies, I/O Interfaces and Lighting.

All parts are available in wide CTR range from 50% to 600% with the latest devices having an almost linear CTR over input current range. The TLP182, TLP183, TLP292 and TLP293 devices provide a high guaranteed CTR even at a low input current (IF = 0.5 mA) due to the use of a high-power InGaAs (MQW) LED. Since these Photocouplers guarantee CTR values at both IF = 5 mA and IF = 0.5 mA, functional designing in the low current region is simplified.

The parts are available in a wide variety of packages to suit most requirements many of which are low profile (<2.3mm) allowing them to me mounted on the back side of the PCB helping to reduce space requirements. Toshiba are also introducing products in the advanced SO6L package which offers 8mm creepage and clearance distances with a guaranteed insulation voltage of 5000 Vrms.
