New SMT-Encoder from knitter-switch saves space
knitter-switch, one of Europe's leading switch manufacturers, has introduced a new encoder which saves space because of its very small foot print and height. It is designed for applications which need a high quality encoder where space is extremely restricted, e.g. measurement instrumentation or household applications.
The new MERS 5-12 is only 6 x 9mm on the PCB and with a casing height under 3mm it is extremely flat.
The high quality encoder is operated from the top and has 12 pulses/detents per rotation and a mechanical life of 100 000 turns.
The MERS 5-12 part of a wide range of standard DIL, tact, rotary encoder, toggle and push-button switches available from knitter-switch.
