Test point connectors from CAMBION suitable for high vibration environments
Cambion Electronics Limited, the renowned designer and manufacturer of electronic components and interconnect solutions based in Castleton Derbyshire has introduced a new series of Test Point connectors to their wide range of interconnect products.
The 460-8500 series Test Point Connector incorporates many of Cambion's manufacturing techniques and expertise; with the integrated socket utilizing a Beryllium Copper hourglass shaped contact, the compound curvature of which engages 60% of the circumference of a mated pin, thus making it inherently suitable for high vibration applications.
The Test Point Connector adopts IPC-610 soldering standards in mechanically bonding the socket to a precision machined shorting link all insulated via an ergonomically designed overmould.
The Test Point connector is a 'plug and play' device which allows the user to undertake in-line testing without the removal of the existing component and is offered in a rainbow of colours to aid board component recognition and positioning. The test socket offers excellent durability giving in excess of 10,000 mating cycles.
