Harwin expands 1.27mm pitch Archer M50 connector family with addition of new IDC parts
Harwin has expanded its popular 1.27mm pitch Archer M50 portfolio with the addition of new IDC connectors.
The Archer family is distinguished in three ways: cost effective, instant availability with devices stocked in depth for immediate despatch from Anglia; and reliability and high quality.
The new dual row Archer connectors that have been added to the existing IDC range are 12, 14 and 16 position connectors.
The Archer M50 connector family is available in various configurations including PCB mounted ejector headers in both through-hole and SMT format, male IDC DIP transition-style and female IDC socket connectors for use with ribbon cable. Surface mount devices are packaged on tape and reel for easy auto placement.
There is also a range of male to female and female to female readymade cable assemblies in 150mm and 300mm lengths available.

Key benefits of the Archer family are cost-effective, rapid termination which minimises installed cost, and secure cable retention featuring positive locking of the mated pair. Parts are mechanically strong and have a high contact density.

Archer connectors are designed to facilitate easy, cost effective connection between PCBs where significant quantities of interconnects are required, combined with a secure, quick connection method. Typical applications include Consumer Electronics, Industrial Controls, Instrumentation, Control Systems, POS terminals, Security systems, Communications and Datacom, Mil/Aero and Marine systems.
The Archer M50 connectors are ideal for all markets that demand excellent reliability, competitive pricing and high connection density.
The Archer M50 connectors feature a current rating of 1A per contact, voltage rating of 150V AC and an insulation resistance of 1000Mohm minimum. Insertion force is as low as 0.6N and operating temperature range is -40 to +105°C.
