Eaton Bussmann Multilayer Ferrite Beads feature high impedance offering superior high-frequency noise reduction, samples available from Anglia.

Eaton Bussmann multilayer ferrite beads (MFB) offer a wide range of high-impedance performance across a wide range of high frequency applications in industrial and automotive applications.

The Eaton Bussmann MFB series ferrite beads are available in 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206 sizes. The MFB series ferrite beads have been uniquely designed to minimize high-frequency electrical noise in EMI-sensitive applications and are offered in two standard versions; the MFBW which features higher impedance values and MFBM which is ideal for higher current RF/wireless applications. A third automotive qualified version, the MFBA series, features AECQ-200 qualification for superior high temperature performance and is offered in 0402, 0603 and 0805 sizes.

MFB Series Schematic

The MFB series ferrite beads utilise a rugged multilayer construction throughout using proprietary noise-suppression materials and are available in an impedance range from 0 Ω to 1000 Ω for the MFBM series, 0 Ω to 2000 Ω for the MFBW series and 10 Ω to 2000 Ω for the MFBA series. The MFBM series multilayer ferrite beads can handle rated currents up to 6A (depending on size and impedance), the MFBW series and AEC-Q200 qualified MFBA series can handle rated currents up to 4A (depending on size and impedance).

MFB series overview

The MFB series have an operating temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C and -55 °C to +150 °C for the Automotive AEC-Q200 qualified MFBA series. The parts are packaged in tape and reel format suitable for high-speed automated production equipment.
